BORN TO BE WILD
Working with the Scottish SPCA
SERIES 1 & 2
Broadcast: BBC Scotland and BBC Two
Born to be Wild is back and so are the incredible team at the Scottish SPCA national wildlife rescue centre in Alloa, Scotland.
We return to the wildlife rescue centre and over the course of a very uncertain year, we are welcomed as part of the team and on the rehab journey of Scotland’s wildlife. This year includes a fallow deer fawn with a nasty leg injury, a group of 5 of the youngest orphaned red squirrels ever seen and one of Scotland more elusive mammals, a beaver!
The team continues to do amazing work and we follow them throughout the journey, this time around from rescue, through rehab to release and post release follow up in the wild!
Scottish SPCA Chief Executive Kirsteen Campbell said, “We are delighted to be part of this exciting new programme with Maramedia which will showcase the incredible work done by the team at our National Wildlife Rescue Centre at Fishcross.
“Our wildlife centre is rarely seen so this is a great opportunity for the public to view first-hand the wild animals we rescue, rehabilitate and release, while fully respecting the needs of all the animals in our care.”
