It’s been a very busy and exciting year for us at Maramedia with 2 big blue-chip series going out – Chasing the Rains (for SKY, Love Nature and ARTE) and Scotland the New Wild (for Terra Mater and BBC) as well as the second series of our popular kids series Olga da Polga (for CBeebies.)

The team have deftly steered through the very different worlds of live action kids, animals and animation to filming the wildlife of the snowy peaks of the Cairngorms to the severe drought of Northern Kenya.

We are hugely proud of our team and all the amazing people we work and collaborate with in this truly global industry. Telling stories that entertain and inform is our passion.

But behind the scenes so much work goes on to create our content - hope you enjoy these images of some of our recent antics from behind the scenes!

With a world in so much turmoil we hope you have a restful Christmas and look forward to working with you in the New Year!

And if you need some holiday viewing recommendations do catch up on our latest shows below.

 Seasons Greetings from

Christmas viewing from Maramedia

Scotland the New Wild- showcases some of Scotland’s most endearing and diverse wildlife getting to the route of how well or not so well our native animals are doing. All the while acknowledging some of the hard working, determined individuals and organisations behind saving and rejuvenating Scotland and its wild places and wild animals. Available on BBC I player.

Olga da Polga-  We were thrilled to be celebrating a second series of Michael Bond’s cheeky guinea pig character –Olga da Polga! Olga and the gang took on many new adventures this time around from Halloween and Christmas to learning French and becoming a Detective! The cast and crew excelled and rose the bar with the hilarity and wholesome stories of the much-loved Guinea pig and her friends. Available on BBC I player and CBeebies.

Chasing the rains-follows the lives of three incredible families – Elephants, Wild Dogs and Cheetahs in Northern Kenya through one of the worst droughts in recent years.  The series also sheds a light on the scientists and conservationists working behind the scenes with these special animals.  We were also thrilled for the series aired in Kenya on local TV ensuring everyone in the country was able to see the series.

Stormborn - Will be re broadcast on ARTE France so available to viewers in Europe. The series celebrates the amazing wildlife of the north and its incredible resilience in the face of wild weather. Featuring Reindeer, Orca, Seals, Puffins, Artic foxes and much more.
